FAQs:
- Will I have to move? If you are currently parked in our south lot (A Lot), past the covered parking area, then yes. We will provide more specific information regarding your move once the project is at a later stage.
- If I’m moving, is there an additional cost? No, we are asking you to move, so there will be no additional cost associated with this specific project. Your rent will remain on its normal schedule of increasing every year on your anniversary.
- How long will construction last? We are planning for a total of 60 days, however, that is always subject to change with construction. We plan to post regular updates on our website to keep everyone informed. You can view this information by visiting the construction page on our website westernselfstoragewa.com, or by calling us at (253) 863-7102.
- Will there still be a dump station? Yes! The dump station will stay where it is located, and you will still have access to it. There will not be another location in the new lot.
- What if I’m not currently in the south lot, but I am interested in a spot in the new lot? Can I still move? We will be moving those in the south lot first, as they have priority. After everyone is settled, we will evaluate how many spaces we have remaining and go from there. If you are interested in a spot, please reach out to the office so we can place you on the waitlist.
- What is happening to the south lot? The south lot will be leased to a company named BrightNight for their Greenwater Project: a battery storage facility for Puget Sound Energy. You can read more about this exciting project on their website: https://brightnightpower.com/greenwater
